1. Last Call for Easter Flowers

Easter is NEXT SUNDAY, and it’s not too late to help fill our worship space with the beauty and color of Easter flowers.

Prepaid orders for Easter flowers are still open and will be available through March 29, that’s this Sunday! These flowers help create a welcoming and meaningful atmosphere as we celebrate the joy and hope of Easter together.

Order forms can be found in both the Great Hall and the Narthex.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please speak with Donna or Peg, who will be happy to assist you.

Let’s work together to make our Easter celebration vibrant and welcoming as we prepare for the season of new life!

2. Kairos Prison Ministry: Serving in God’s Time

Kairos is an international prison ministry with a presence in 38 states and ten countries. The word kairos can be translated as “in God’s time,” and the weekend of April 23–26 will truly be God’s time for 24 incarcerated men at Chillicothe Correctional Institution. During this weekend, these men will experience — many for the first time — the love of Jesus Christ.

It has been said that some give by going, and some go by giving. Not everyone is called to serve by going inside the prison, but there are several meaningful ways you can participate by giving.

Make a Financial Contribution
Food and supplies for a Kairos weekend cost several thousand dollars. Checks may be made payable to Kairos of Ohio with “C.C.I. #13” written in the memo line. Donations can be mailed, given directly to us, or placed in the offering plate.

Bake Cookies
We need 40 people willing to bake and pray over one to two dozen cookies each. Any type of home-baked cookie is welcome. Please place up to two dozen cookies in a one-gallon zip-lock freezer bag (no slider bags), with nothing in the bag except cookies.

A collection box will be available outside the church office. Cookies should be brought to the church on April 19. Reminders will be provided as the date approaches.

Pray With Us
Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Prayer vigil sign-up sheets will be shared during both services on Sunday. Your first name will become a link in a prayer chain that will encircle the room — a powerful visual reminder to participants that thousands of people on the outside are praying for them. When the men see that chain of names, the impact is profound.

We could not do this ministry without the support of our wonderful church family. Thank you for your unwavering support of Christ’s mission to serve “the least of these.”

In His love,
Rich Grant and Fred Thomas

3. Safe Sanctuaries Class Tomorrow

It's that time of year- we're getting ready for church trips, for VBS (Very Big Summer), and maybe wondering where God will lead us to serve in the near future. Take the first step and attend one of our upcoming Safe Sanctuaries certification classes. We currently have 3 to choose from:

  • March 28th (Tomorrow!)

  • April 18th

  • May 9th

All Saturdays, all 10:30am-noon.

This short but informative class will give you some of the tools and knowledge you need when working with children and teens, and can also help answer any questions you might have at this point. It is also part of our church's commitment to providing a safe space not only for our kiddos, but also for our volunteers who are giving their time and energy.

No need to register- just show up!

And please don't hesitate with any questions in the meantime!

4. A Testimonial on Fuel for Flight from Staff at Milford Middle School

Fuel For Flight has been visiting schools in the Milford School District to gather testimonials from staff about the ministry’s impact.

Because our role often ends once the bags are delivered, we wanted to hear directly from the people who see the impact firsthand each day. Speaking with school staff helps us truly gauge how this mission is affecting children across the district.

At Milford Middle School, we spoke with counseling secretary Cindy Bryant, who shared what she had witnessed through the program.

Click this link, or press the button below to watch her testimonial.

Don’t forget to spread the word about the Milford Meander on May 9, a scavenger hunt through historic Milford - all proceeds benefit Fuel For Flight. Share our Facebook event (find it here!), tell a friend, grab a yard sign, and come show up for children in Milford this May. Buy your tickets now!

5. Bake Sale & Pie Auction to Support Pikeville Mission Trip THIS SUNDAY!

Final reminder to stick around right after church on March 29 — that’s Palm Sunday — and join us in the Great Hall for our Milford First Bake Sale & Pie Auction.

Here’s how it works: show up with your famous chocolate chunk cookies, homemade buckeyes, or everyone-needs-it sugar pie, and we’ll set everything up to be purchased or bid on. Be sure to come with a name for your baked goods and at least a brief description, especially for the bigger auction items.

If baking isn’t your thing but enjoying sweet treats definitely is, that’s OK too! Come with cash, Venmo, or a checkbook so you can claim some goodies for yourself.
And the best part? Also up for bidding are the participants going on the trip to Pikeville this summer. Just like we voted on the best chili last month, you can use your dollars to vote on who will get a pie in the face at the end of the event. Everyone wins — except maybe whoever “wins” a pie in the face.

All proceeds will go directly to our Pikeville mission. It is sure to be a fun afternoon, and we hope to see you there!

One more thing, there is still room on the trip for anyone interested in joining the Pikeville mission team this summer. Check out the video on the topic if you haven’t seen it already! If you’d like more information, email Corina!
