The Friday Five - 04.10.26
1. Ministry of Music Sunday
This weekend, we’re excited to celebrate Ministry of Music Sunday—a unique and joy-filled worship experience highlighting some of the finest musical gifts in our church community.
Please note a special schedule and location change for this week:
The 9:00 a.m. modern worship service will be held in the Sanctuary (not the Great Hall) and will be led by the praise band.
At 10:30 a.m., we’ll gather in the Great Hall (not the Sanctuary) for traditional worship and our Ministry of Music service.
The 10:30 service will be a vibrant celebration of music, featuring our altar choir, brass ensemble, handbells, and more. It’s a chance to experience the beauty, power, and diversity of worship through music in a way that is both moving and memorable.
Come for modern worship at 9:00 a.m., and then stay until 10:30 to experience a rich and uplifting offering of song, sound, and spirit you won’t want to miss. As we continue riding the joy of Eastertide, this Sunday is a perfect way to celebrate the new life and hope we share together.
2. AMDLC is holding an Art Show!
Event Details:
A Million Dreams Learning Center Art Show & Silent Auction
Thursday, April 23, 2026
Donation Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2026
You’ve never seen art quite like this—because these creations come from little hands inspired by a big God.
A Million Dreams Learning Center invites you to its 1st Annual Art Show, an evening celebrating the creativity, joy, and imagination of the children we serve. Guests will enjoy a gallery of one-of-a-kind student artwork, a bake sale, a silent auction, and a family craft station for all ages.
This event is more than an art show—it’s a celebration of childhood and a reminder that God continues to create beauty every day. All proceeds from the evening will support an important goal: building a new playground addition to create a safer, more enriching outdoor space for our children.
AMDLC is also seeking donations for their silent auction, including gift cards, services, event tickets, themed baskets, or handmade items. All donors will be recognized at the event, with business names displayed alongside donated items—offering a meaningful way to support local families while connecting with the community.
If you would like to contribute, donations can be dropped off at the center or arranged for pickup. Find more details in the attached letter from Center Director, Amanda Roettele.
Join us for an evening of creativity and purpose—bring your family, invite a friend, and help us make big dreams come true for our children.

3. Boundary Waters Benefit Concert!
Join us on Saturday, April 18th from 3–6 p.m. (rain or shine) for an afternoon of music, community, and fun—all for a great cause.
This special event will feature live music from Exit 57, a talented local band with roots right here at Milford First, including former members of our Praise Team. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy great music while supporting an even greater mission.
Admission is $15 at the door, $5 for kids, and free for children 5 and under. Your entry includes the concert, refreshments (drinks and small bites), and a variety of activities for all ages, including crafts, games, and hands-on experiences like making seed bombs and trail cookies. Additional opportunities to participate in a gift basket raffle and a bucket-dunk fundraiser will also be available.
All proceeds from the event will support this year’s wilderness retreat to the Boundary Waters, helping make this meaningful experience possible!

4. Milford Meander on May 9 to support Fuel For Flight
Many of you had the opportunity to hear Fuel for Flight Director Anne Kuhn speak at Easter Sunday worship last week, and here’s another reminder to mark your calendars: the first annual Milford Meander is coming up on May 9, and the whole church family is invited and encouraged to take part!
The Milford Meander is a relaxed, untimed scavenger hunt through Historic Downtown Milford, designed to be both fun and meaningful. Participants will visit local businesses, complete challenges, snap photos along the way, and enjoy everything downtown has to offer, from shopping and dining to simply strolling with friends and family. The event is suitable for all ages, and those who complete the scavenger hunt tasks will be entered into a raffle with over 40 gift cards up for grabs.
All proceeds from the Milford Meander support Fuel for Flight, helping fight food insecurity for students in our community. Every ticket sold directly contributes to providing meals for children who need them most, making this event an opportunity for Milford First to rally around one of our major outreach ministries.
