1. Milford Meander on May 9 to Support Fuel for Flight

Fuel For Flight is hosting the first annual Milford Meander on May 9, and the entire church family is encouraged to take part. All proceeds of this fundraise go to fighting food insecurity in students.

The Milford Meander is a relaxed, untimed scavenger hunt through Historic Downtown Milford designed to be both fun and meaningful. Participants will visit local businesses, complete challenges, snap photos along the way, and enjoy everything downtown has to offer—from shopping and dining to simply strolling with friends and family. The event is meant to be experienced at your own pace, making it perfect for all ages and group sizes. Those who complete the scavenger hunt tasks will also be entered into a raffle featuring over 30 different gift cards as prizes.

This event is more than just a fun afternoon—it is a chance for our church to rally around one of our major outreach ministries. Every ticket sold helps Fuel for Flight continue providing food to children in our community who need it most. All members of Milford First are encouraged to attend, invite friends and family, and help spread the word by sharing the event on Facebook. The more people who participate, the more children we can support.

Event Details:

  • Date: May 9

  • Cost: $25 in advance | $35 day-of

  • Kids 12 & under: Free

  • Check-in: Milford First UMC

  • Finish Line: Riverside Park

  • Bonus: Milford is a DORA district, so participants may carry beverages while they explore downtown.

Whether you come with a team of friends, bring the whole family, or simply enjoy an afternoon exploring Milford, the Milford Meander is a wonderful way to have fun while supporting a ministry that makes a real difference.

2. Bake Sale & Pie Auction to Support Pikeville Mission Trip!

Stick around right after church on March 29 — that’s Palm Sunday — and join us in the Great Hall for our Milford First Bake Sale & Pie Auction.

Here’s how it works: show up with your famous chocolate chunk cookies, homemade buckeyes, or everyone-needs-it sugar pie, and we’ll set everything up to be purchased or bid on. Be sure to come with a name for your baked goods and at least a brief description, especially for the bigger auction items.

If baking isn’t your thing but enjoying sweet treats definitely is, that’s OK too! Come with cash, Venmo, or a checkbook so you can claim some goodies for yourself.

And the best part? Also up for bidding are the participants going on the trip to Pikeville this summer. Just like we voted on the best chili last month, you can use your dollars to vote on who will get a pie in the face at the end of the event. Everyone wins — except maybe whoever “wins” a pie in the face.

All proceeds will go directly to our Pikeville mission. It is sure to be a fun afternoon, and we hope to see you there!

One more thing, there is still room on the trip for anyone interested in joining the Pikeville mission team this summer. Check out the video on the topic if you haven’t seen it already! If you’d like more information, email Corina!

3. Donations Needed for AMDLC Easter Egg Hunt

We are also looking for volunteers to help stuff the eggs in preparation for our egg hunt on 4/1-4/3. Please let Ms. Donna or Ms. Courtney from the learning center know if you are interested in helping.

Donation Details:

  • Item: Plastic Easter Eggs

  • Size: 2–3 inches

  • Condition: New or gently used, clean

Deadline for Donations: 3/31

Thank you for your generosity and support in helping us create a joyful Easter celebration!

4. Upcoming Ways to Support Milford Miami Ministries

Join us for dinner at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. When you show the event flyer from this article, or simply mention the fundraiser while dining, 20% of your food purchase will be donated to Milford Miami Ministries. This also applies to eligible to-go orders placed online through the restaurant’s fundraiser option, making it easy to participate even if you prefer to grab your meal and go.

Also the Simply Give program at Meijer is still underway. Now through March 28, shoppers can purchase a $10 Simply Give donation card at the register, which allows MMM to purchase food and baby items for those they serve. On the next double-match day, March 21 — Meijer will triple the impact of each $10 card, increasing the value of the donation to $30.

Looking ahead, MMM will host the 15th annual Mary Miller Memorial 5K Walk/Run, an event that brings the community together to honor Mary Miller, a beloved member of the Milford community remembered for her kindness and generosity. The race continues that legacy while raising support for the ongoing work of Milford Miami Ministries.

The Mary Miller Memorial 5K Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Miami Meadows Park. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to join by running or walking.

Attached to this article you will find the event page, with links to the sponsorship form and registration.

5. AMDLC Teacher of the Month!

March's teacher of the month is Ms. Coco! Ms. Courtney H. is our kitchen manager, but that does not keep her from getting as much time with the kids as she can. Once she gets meals out, you can typically find her chilling with the infants in Saplings to help out while their teachers are on lunch. She does a great job ensuring that students (and teachers) are well fed and able to take on the day, and she does it all with a smile.

The teachers who nominated Coco say she is "So sweet. She does everything she can for her kids. She goes out of her way for others and checks in on them." Another teacher said "Coco doesn't have to help us but she literally does everything to perfectly help us whenever we struggle."

Congratulations to Ms. Courtney, and thank you for being such a beacon of support for staff and students alike!
