The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the heart of our faith—God’s decisive act to redeem humanity and reconcile us to himself. Through Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and invited into a transformed way of living shaped by grace, justice, and peace.
But the story doesn’t end with personal salvation.
Scripture points us toward something even greater: a vision of total restoration—not just of souls, but of all creation. In Isaiah 11:1–10, we glimpse this promised future where the wolf lies down with the lamb, justice flows like a river, and the earth is filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
This is not a distant fantasy but the direction in which God is moving the world—a renewed creation where peace, equity, and wholeness reign under the rule of Christ, the shoot from Jesse’s stump.
The redemption Jesus accomplished is the first fruits of this greater restoration. As followers of Christ, we are not just waiting for that day—we are called to live into it now, bearing witness to God’s kingdom through our actions, our communities, and our care for the world around us.
Redemption is personal, but restoration is cosmic. In Jesus, both are made possible. And in Isaiah’s vision, we see the end toward which all of creation groans—and ultimately rejoices.
