One of our members, Fred Thomas, has been participating in training to be a member of a Kairos Team and will be participating in Kairos #33 Sept 14-17 for residents of Lebanon Correctional Inst. He is asking for support from us.
News Adult Men’s Basketball
Men, 25 or older interested in playing basketball are welcome every Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Great Hall.
News Open Gym For Youth
There is a supervised time for Youth ages 8-14 to participate in "Open Gym" on Wednesdays from 4-6 pm. Invite your friends and come inside for some basketball, volleyball, board games, etc.

News 2008 Calendar Featuring MFUMC Stained Glass
The Missions Committee has printed a limited number (100) of 2008 full-color calendars which feature the lovely, unique stained glass of our historic church.
News IHN Update
In 2007, our church hosted families 5 times during the year for a week at a time. A total of 18 families (20 adults, 32 children) ate, slept, played and prayed at the church.

News Attn. King's Kids & Cherub Choir Parents
Both choirs will sing on Ministry of Music Sunday, June 1 and on Father’s Day, June 15. Our last Wednesday night practice will be May 14 (also last WAVE).

Children and Family Ministry Committee is looking for volunteers to be part of our Parent Support Teams. These volunteers would be needed one Sunday out of the month during the 9:25 Sunday school hour.

So will the runners be in starting the Kings Kids and Cherubs new musical: "Cross Country," scheduled for March 2009. Students ages 4-12 will be racing to the cross this fall as they begin a new choral year on Wed, Sept. 3 at 6:30 pm (right after the WAVE).

The CROP Hunger Walk is October 4th! What is a CROP Hunger Walk? We are neighbors and friends walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world.
News New Life Furniture Update
So far this year we have delivered 901 items to 89 local families in need. That’s 89 families and individuals who are no longer living in empty apartments and sleeping on the floors. Praise God!
