Ministries

Ministry is about sharing the Word of God and loving each other as God loves us. Through our church ministries, we hope to improve a life, raise a spirit, make a friend, or bring someone closer to Christ.

Jesus was sent into the world to serve, not be served, and we try to follow His example.  In a way, all the areas of the church can be consolidated under the ministries heading.  Through worship, fellowship, discipleship, mission, and music, we perform the ministries of the church.

Adult Discipleship Ministry Opportunities

Disciple Bible Study - In-depth study programs

Alpha - Introduction to Christianity

Wednesday Morning Prayer Group - Prayer group and Bible study.

Adult Sunday School Classes - Variety of classes and topics

Children's Ministries

Early Childhood - Infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers

Elementary  - Sunday school

Vacation Bible School - Educational and fun summer program for kids.

Other Offerings - Special events occur throughout the year.  Watch the news and events for announcements.

Youth Ministries

Sunday Night Youth (SNY) - Youth fellowship

The Ride - Non-traditional youth worship service

Jr. & Sr. High Classes - Sunday school classes and activities

Greater Cincinnati Chrysalis - 3-day fellowship and worship experience

Scouting - Boy and Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, and Daisies

Caring Ministries

Good Samaritans - Personal ministry to shut-ins

Health Place - Holistic health care issues and information

Interfaith Hospitality Network - Homelessness ministry for families and children.

New Life Furniture - Gently used furniture for families in need.

Stephen Ministries - Confidential, personal Christian care

Fellowship and Recreation Groups

United Methodist Women (UMW) - Women's fellowship and missions

Esther Circle - Women's parlor group meets for lunch, devotionals, study and fellowship

Moms to Moms - Sharing joys of family life

United Methodist Men / Men United for God (MUG) - Men's Christian fellowship

Prime Timers - Fun fellowship for those 55+

Team Sports - Softball and volleyball

Camping - Family campout and UMC summer camps

Service Opportunities - Other opportunities for service in the church

The Wave - Wednesdays Are Very Extraordinary

Mission Work

Dorcas Sewing Group - Sewing for charity

Job Jar - Help others with small jobs

Habitat for Humanity - Help provide shelter for others

Milford-Miami Ministry - Provide assistance for local families and individuals

Volunteers in Mission (VIM) - Short-term missions in the US and overseas
