Health Place ministry helps to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Coordinator: Kim McNary

Our Health Place ministry team seeks to provide holistic care to our congregation in order that they may maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • The bulletin "Board of Health" provides up to date information regarding health issues.
  • Free blood pressure screening is provided on the third Sunday of every month during the 10:30 fellowship time.  Come to the library for this service.  No appointment is necessary.
  • Blood drives are held in the Spring and Fall of every year.  Watch the Events and Messenger for details of dates.
  • Other programs that have been or will be offered include "Five-a-Day, the healthy way," and "50 miles in 50 days."

Health Place has recently begun a relationship with Parish Health Ministry, an ecumenical program funded by Episcopal Retirement Homes, Inc.  Through PHM, Health Place will be offering more and more programs to Milford First UMC, all aimed at promoting healthy living for all persons.
