The Greater Milford Area Historical Society presents the second annual Art Affaire on Saturday, September 15th from noon to 5 PM on the beautiful grounds of the historic Promont House Museum. Featured are local artists of various media including pottery, jewelry, photography, watercolor and oil paintings, sculpture, wood carvings, wearables, fiber arts, and more (our own O'Neal Johnston and Jean Shaw will be there!). Entertainment will be provided by The Dulcimer Society and Milford sibling musicians Kelly and Corrie Moll and Abbey and Evan Sussell. On October 2 from 7-9 PM in the Great Hall, we will gather to taste chocolate and see that the Lord is good! We will sing, pray, worship, laugh and TASTE TEST chocolate. What a recipe for fun! Includes a scrumptious dinner for only $7.00 for folks 12 and older and $3.00 for children 4-11. We will also have an auction of gift-wrapped Christmas presents. We need as many people who are willing to purchase a $15.00-$20.00 gift and gift-wrap it in the most glorious way possible to get the highest bid from the enthusiastic bidders!! Please mark your gift as to adult or child and male or female. We will have a selection or two from the Kings Kids/Cherub Choir Christmas Musical, “3 Wise Men and a Baby.” We will also serenade each other & the community with the singing of Christmas Carols. Opportunity will be provided to carol close to the church & select locations off site.

Save the Date – March 2, 2008: 20th Annual Community Benefit Auction will be held at 6:00 P.M. in the Great Hall of Milford First UMC, 541 Main St. Milford, OH 45150. The Missions team is now securing donated services and items from the community and local businesses for the auction. Past items included dinners, theme baskets, baby sitting, boat trips, gourmet baked goods, sporting tickets, artwork, symphony tickets, celebrity autographed items and much more. Your imagination and talents are what makes this event a success! Donation forms in Welcome Center. The Young Professionals Group of Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati presents another fund-raiser to benefit the IHN shelter and programs for families experiencing homelessness. On Wednesday, February 13, from 6-10pm, bring your friends and family, and join us for dinner at Kona Bistro in Oakley Square (3012 Madison Road, next to Dewey's). 100% of bar tips and a portion of server tips will go directly to IHN. We will also have raffle items.

The Health Committee will be offering the American Heart Association CPR Class and has scheduled it for Saturday, March 8 from 9AM to Noon. Class includes CPR for adults, infants, children, AED (automatic defibrillator near the bulletin board in our church). This class IS NOT the 8-hour professional class for health care workers. Teens & adults are welcome. $15 is due the day of the class, which is provided by the Miami Township Fire Department. Class size is limited so sign up soon. Sign up sheets will be available in the Welcome Center

Women Celebrate is excited to offer HOPE FOR THE JOURNEY, a special day long Women's Retreat! Saturday, April 12 from 9am-3pm. Special Guest Speaker: Kim Wright, from Water's Edge Ministry. This years's VBS is the PowerLab program, Discovering Jesus's Miraculous Power. Power Lab is fizzing with fun for kids, teenagers, and adults. Everyone involved in this VBS will explore God’s Word…and never be the same again! As kids experience amazing Bible adventures, they’ll take part in Daily Challenges that encourage them to apply Bible truths to everyday life. Starts week of July 28 from 9am till noon. Register by June 30, 2008.

July 20 at Deer Tracks Golf Course. Ladies and gentlemen invited. We will start with a shot-gun start at 2:00 pm. Registration starts at 1:15. Entry fees $75 per person/$300 per team (dinner included). $15 for dinner only at 7:30 pm (if you are not signed up to play golf, you must be pre-registered to eat dinner only).
